that perfect hand…

In Ocean's 11, Danny said that "the house always wins. If you play long enough, never change the stakes, then the house takes you. Unless, when that perfect hand comes along, you bet big… and then, you take the house." Here's the hand I've been dealt, sometimes it's risky and sometimes it's safe, but all the time… it's perfect. It's mine.

mighty to save

I have recently fallen in love with the words of this song and the feeling I get when it comes on the radio, or especially when we sing it as a church. I just can’t help but believe the words to be true. Happy Friday!

Everyone needs compassion
A love that’s never failing
Let mercy fall on me

Everyone needs forgiveness
The kindness of a Savior
The hope of nations

Savior He can move the mountains
My God is Mighty to save
He is Mighty to save

Forever Author of salvation
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave

So take me as You find me
All my fears and failures
And fill my life again

I give my life to follow
Everything I believe in
Now I surrender I surrender

Savior He can move the mountains
My God is Mighty to save
He is Mighty to save
Forever Author of salvation
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave

Shine your light and let the whole world see
We’re singing for the glory of the risen King…Jesus

  1. love it too:)-it is the theme song at CLBI this year and is quite an anthem. The second verse touched me the most-constantly feeling like I live in fear or always failing. What a God we serve. Love you sis…thanks for the b-day gift (I got it this morning!). It was perfect and I am looking forward to getting into the Christmas spirit with a little Sheree. Mark will just have to deal:)-did you order any CD’s of hers for yourself? I hope so. Mark is coming home on an earlier flight so I better go:). Talk to you soon…..XOXOX

  2. This song was on the radio recently while Griff and I were in the truck. He was in the back seat singing along to it as he has become quite familiar with hearing it at church and at home. I decided to turn down the radio so I could hear him better and this is what I heard : “…..my God is money to save, he is money to save….”
